The course isspecifically designed for holders of a valid NI DP Operator Certificate who:
· Have accumulated less than 150 DP sea time days withinthe five‑year validity period of their certificate, or
· Have 150 or more DP sea time days butelect to complete this course instead of the CPD programme +online exam.
The courserefreshes knowledge of current rules and regulations, new sensor and PRStechnologies, recent DP incidents, and restores the DPO’s ability to safelyplan, set up, and operate a DP vessel, including emergency response.
Course Aims
6.1 Acquiredknowledge of latest rules and regulations.
6.2 Acquired knowledge of latest developments in sensors and PRS.
6.3 Acquired knowledge of latest DP incidents and why they occurred.
6.4 Recognise alarms/warnings and take appropriate action.
6.5 Carry out operational planning, risk assessment, hazard identification.
6.6 Set up DP system for a specific task/operation.
6.7 Decide on courses of action because of system failures.
